why the focus of the guarantee is mainly on fungal diseases? does vermicompost is well known to cause this kind of diseases. how about other types of diseases, e.g. bacterial. just curios.
Hello Jumat! So glad you can come in. Why focus ah? Because when home gardeners buy the bags of so-called soil, they have no idea where it came from. It looks so nice in the bag lah. Black colour. But that one is colouring only. Spray some water and the black colour hilang, revealing that it’s only lousy laterite. Impossible to know where the laterite came from. I buy many times oredi. The soil not only brought fungal spores, but also a great variety of horrible insects, not to mention bacteria. So susah to plant vegetables with it. Not even three inches tall chia lat oredi.
Even the one that says tanah bakar is fake one. Just ash mixed with more laterite. To bakar (sanitise) soil, a lot of fuel is required. That is a cost, even if they use scrap wood from saw mills. The tanah bakar man won’t take the trouble to actually bakar the product la. Some more got danger of DOE’s helicopter swooping down on them for open burning. Most of the time, they just smolder sekam padi and wood and mix the ash with laterite. So tanah bakar still the same thing: back to questionable sources.
We only dare to give a guarantee against fungal diseases because WormOrganics is made from ingredients that has never been used in, and are not the result of, any kind of plant cultivation. Fungal spores abound in any form of intensive planting mah. They exist in the wild also, but in minute concentrations and also got plenty of enemies there. Besides, worm compost carries big, strong phyto-bacteria that eats fungal spores for breakfast.
Pest bacteria has much better travel ability than fungal spores so I takut to give guarantee. Cannot be too hero lah you know? Pest insects don’t say lah. If our neighbour’s garden got pests, so hard to keep them away from our own garden woh. Still got organic method, but the method will also keep every other insect away, including the good ones. I will share this method in a posting later, and advice everyone that it’s only a last resort to the problem of insects.
Good Job brother!
Whoa. Thank you, Sild. I didn’t notice you made comment.
